"I went into the store probably around 6:30pm, 30 min left to close. Left around 8ish. Both reps were assisting other customers so I just looked around for a bit until they finished. Then, when one of the customers left, one rep came by to help. I can't remember his name but he spent a very long time with me looking around and was super patient and did not have any sense of urgency to get me out whatsoever. I was skeptical at first that my first experience would be dreadful and that he would try to sell me the most expensive helmets/gear, given that I have no idea about anything but he didn't. He was super helpful and gave recommendations for long term uses. I asked about short term, long term, better safety, comfort in both the helmet and gloves that I purchased as well as some more information about jackets.

I am 6ft 4in and 145 pounds.
The helmet was sort of a mission to find but we ended up finding one that was mid range - pretty good safety with a mid range price and extreme comfort. I kept it on for probably an hour as I checked out the jackets and finally found the best fitting gloves. No pain and all comfort. I was sold on the helmet. An Italian one.

Now, the gloves. That was a mission in and of itself. They were either too tight, too loose, or the pinky has pain from the glove, like a scratchy feeling. After the long long search, I opted another Italian product. Perfect comfort. Perfect size. I'm a thin tall guy so my fingers are skinny but long. Anyways, you will find perfect fits out there, you just have to search for them!! And this guy, he helped out a ton. Would definitely go back for more gear and cleaning products for the gear (which I also bought) and simply for his character which was spectacular!"

"I enjoy going to the Schaumburg location because the staff is very friendly and willing to help. Even during busy days they make sure everyone has been taken care of. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your experience.

My problem is actually with Cyclegear itself as a whole. Their quality control is severely lacking. I have attempted to get a leather jacket here on a few occasions. The first time, the jacket I picked out ($400 sedici leather jacket) had a liner in it that didn't fit. So they ordered me a new one, and the new jacket arrived and fit completely differently. It was the same numerical size, but was way too big on me. So they ordered another one, and the new one that came directly from the warehouse had a popped stitch in shoulder. I ended up returning the whole thing and getting my money back, although I still took a loss from all the time I spent driving back and forth.

Fast forward to now, I was in there shopping for thermal base layers (the bilt thermal stuff is really good!) And I happened to see them unboxing a new shipment of leather jackets. The woman working showed them to me and I loved it, and it fit me perfectly. I was about to buy it when I found it had another popped stitch in the shoulder area!!

The quality control needs to be improved because jackets directly from the warehouse shouldn't be damaged. And a $400+ jacket should be perfect from day one.

I know this is a review of the specific store I shopped at, which is why I gave 4 stars. They were very willing to help every time I shopped there, and I still like going to this location. Many of their products are great, but I would be very careful about buying leather jackets from them. "
